TKAM poem - Mrs Dubose
I made this poem through analysis of Dubose's character and her incident with Jem.
Dubose Dubose so cynical,
Nigger-lover what's wrong with so?
Teasing taunting like a devil,
Had to bring yourself some trouble.
Criticizing all the Finches,
Trouble ends up on poor camellias.
Torturing Jem at your deathbed,
Never listening to the stories he said.
Dubose Dubose brave but dying,
Beholden to nothing and nobody.
Is your pain and effort worth,
When poor Jem doesn't understand so.
